英文常犯錯誤

香港是一個國際城市，而英文是國際語言，普遍人著重英語能力，尤其是會話能力。 各位讀者，你們身為香港人，覺得自己的 英文會話 能力如何呢？能否應付日常溝通呢？  事實上，普遍香港人會犯下很多英文會話錯誤，例如發音和文法錯誤。 今天，我將會與大家討論港人英文會話的錯誤。 錯誤類別1：發音錯誤 very /ˈi/ 香港人經常會把v和f音混淆，將very 錯讀成ferry。大家記得講 very good，而不是 ferry good。 buffet /ˈbʊf.eɪ/   /bəˈfeɪ/ 港人喜歡自助餐，經常講「食po飛」。不過，大家要知道這不是正確發音。正確發音是 /ˈbʊf.eɪ/（英式發音：重音放在第1個音節）或  /bəˈfeɪ/（美式發音：重音放在第2個音節）。 professional /prəˈfeʃ.əəl/ 通常香港人會把重音放在首個音節，並會完整地發出pro 音，其實並不正確。根據這個字的國際音標，第1個音節應是 /prə/，帶有schwa，要輕讀。 錯誤類別2：文法錯誤 Late notice The meeting will be on Monday. Are you available? I know it’s pretty late notice. Late notice 是文法錯誤，應該是 short notice。  There’s no There’s no good making your client angry.  There’s no 是文法錯誤，應該是 It’s no good making your client angry. Foreigner’s I work for a foreigner’s company. Foreigner’s 是文法錯誤，應該是 foreign company. 錯誤類別3：錯誤用字 All right or alright？ All right or alright？  Are you alright?  Are you all right? 答案：兩個都可以應用在日常溝通。  Then 定 Than？ Then 定 Than？  See you tomorrow than!  See you tomorrow then! Than 係有比較嘅意思，例如： Tom is older than me. (湯姆老過我。) Then 意思係總之、那麼、然後，例如： I will see you tomorrow then! （我地聽日見啦！） 答案：Then Interested 定 Interesting？ Interested 定 Interesting？ Interested 形容人對於某事物有興趣  e.g. I am interested in English.（我對於英文科感到興趣） Interesting 形容/事/物/處境有趣  e.g. The movie was interesting.（套戲好有趣） 很多人會在日常溝通上混淆 ed and ing， 大家記得小心運用啦 。 Interested 定 Interesting？ Make 定 Do？ Make 和 Do 係港人常犯嘅小錯誤！ Make 通常指創造/創作一些事。 e.g. Make a lunch, make a cup of chocolate milk, make a dress Do 通常指去做一件已經有計劃/有目標的事。 e.g. Do your housework, do exercise, do the dishes 亦泛指一件未確定的事，常用片語如下： e.g. “Let’s do something!”, “What should we do?”,  如果大家有什麼英文問題，如Spencer Lam, 好唔好咁樣學英文呀? 或者IELTS考試，成人英文/商業英文的知識及英文資源，歡迎你可以隨時再跟我多交流一下，可以Follow 「Spencer Lam English Team」 Facebook page同IG得到更多英文資訊，亦都可以上 https://spencerlam.hk/ 了解更多!
