Conditional sentences Type 0,1,2,3:
Type 0: 現在事實狀況,結論是真實的,如 “If you heat ice, it melts.” (你如果加熱冰,它就會融化)
• “If you water the plant, it will grow.” (如果你給植物澆水,它就會生長)
• “If you don’t study, you will fail the exam.” (如果你不學習,你就會考試不及格)
Type 1: 現在事實狀況,結論是假設的,如 “If you study hard, you will pass the exam.” (你如果努力學習,你就會通過考試)
• “If you save money, you can buy a car.” (如果你存錢,你就能買車)
• “If you practice, you will improve your skills.” (如果你練習,你的技能就會提高)
Type 2: 過去事實狀況,結論是假設的,如 “If he had studied harder, he would have passed the exam.” (如果他學習得更努力,他就會通過考試)

Connectives: so, so that:
- So 是用來表示結果或因果關係,如 “I am tired, so I will go to bed early.” (我很累,所以我會早點睡覺)
- “I passed the test, so I am happy.” (我考試及格了,所以我很高興)
- So that 是用來表示目的或原因,如 “I am going to the store so that I can buy some groceries.” (我要去商店,目的是為了買些東西)
- “I will wake up early so that I can catch the train.” (我會早起,目的是為了趕上火車)
Infinitives
Infinitives: 不定詞是一種語法形式,可以表示動作或狀態,如 “to run,” “to be,” “to eat” 等。

Very few / very little / enough:
Very few 指數量極少,如 “There are very few people here.” (這裡人很少)
“There are very few tickets left for the concert.” (音樂會的門票很少)
Very little 指數量極少,如 “There is very little food left.” (食物剩很少)
“I have very little money left in my bank account.” (我的銀行賬戶里剩很少的錢)
Enough 指數量足夠,如 “There is enough food for everyone.” (有足夠的食物給每個人)
“I have enough time to finish the project.” (我有足夠的時間完成這個項目)
Too / very / very much
Too / very / very much:
- Too 指數量過多或過度,如 “This is too hot to eat.” (這太熱了不能吃)
- “This book is too difficult for me to understand.” (這本書對我來說太難了不能理解)
- Very 指數量特別多或特別強烈,如 “I am very hungry.” (我非常餓)
- “I am very happy to see you.” (我非常高興看到你)
- Very much 指數量特別多或特別強烈,如 “I like this song very much.” (我非常喜歡這首歌)
- “I appreciate your help very much.” (我非常感謝你的幫助)
Either or
Either or: 是用來表示兩種選擇中的任意一種,如 “I can either go to the party or stay home.” (我可以去派對或者留在家裡)
- “You can either take the bus or walk to the store.” (你可以坐公交車或者步行去商店)
Neither nor
Neither nor: 是用來表示兩種選擇都不選擇,如 “I neither like coffee nor tea.” (我既不喜歡咖啡也不喜歡茶)
- “I neither watch TV nor play video games.” (我既不看電視也不玩電子遊戲)
Phrasal verbs
Phrasal verbs: 是由一個動詞和一個副詞組成的動詞短語,如 “turn off,” “run out,” “put up” 等。
- “I will turn off the lights before I go to bed.” (我去睡覺前會關燈)
- “I will put up the tent before it gets dark.” (我會在天黑之前搭帳篷)
Adjectives (-ed/-ing)
Adjectives (-ed/-ing): 形容詞可以分成兩種,分別是 -ed 和 -ing。前者表示過去的狀態,如 “I am tired” (我很累);後者表示現在或將來的狀態,如 “I am boring” (我很無聊)
- “I am excited about the trip
- “I am excited about the trip” (我對旅行感到興奮) -ing形式
- “I was exhausted after the long hike” (我在長途徒步之後感到疲倦) -ed形式
Passive voice
Passive voice: 被動語態是一種語法結構,用來表示動作的主體是被動的,如 “The cake was eaten by me.” (蛋糕被我吃了)
“The letter was written by him” (信是他寫的)
“The car was damaged in the accident” (汽車在事故中受損)
通常被動語態中會用 “by” 連接動作的主體,但也有不用 “by” 的情況。被動語態的用法可以用來強調受事件影響的對象,或者是隱藏動作的主體。
