IELTS writing task 1 sample Bar Chart 題目 The bar chart below shows the result of the survey conducted by personnel department at a major company. The poll was conducted on two sets of workers: those between the ages of 18 and 30, and those between the ages of 45 and 60, and it revealed characteristics that influence their job performance. Write a report for a university instructor that includes the following material. Bar Chart 範文 第一段 The bar chart depicts the results of a study of two distinct age groups on the variables that contribute to making their working environment pleasant. 第二段 There are two types of external and internal forces. Internal elements include team spirit, a competent manager, co-worker respect, and job happiness. External considerations include opportunities for personal growth, employment stability, advancement potential, and financial resources. 第三段 In terms of internal elements, more than half of respondents in both age groups agreed that a positive work environment requires team spirit, a competent leader, and job satisfaction. On the other hand, there are conflicting outcomes when it comes to external variables. When it came to opportunities for personal growth and advancement, 80 percent to 90 percent of the younger groups were in favour, but only around half of the older group agreed. On the subject of job security, a similar tendency has been seen. Money is important to 69 percent to 70 percent of respondents in both age groups. 第四段 Finally, the internal variables elicited comparable reactions from the two age groups, but the external influences elicited different responses. Line Graph 題目 The graph below shows the population figures of different types of turtles in India between 1980 and 2012. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. Line Graph 範文 第一段 The total number of all species of turtles in India has been relatively stable over the last two decades, although there were significant drops in numbers between 1987 and 1989 and again in 1992 and 1996. Since 2004 there has been an improvement in numbers of all species, although the graph shows a slight decrease in 2010. 第二段 In contrast, the population of Leatherback turtles has suffered a severe decline, particularly in 1988 when numbers fell dramatically. The rate of decline in the population appears to have slowed and it has remained relatively stable since 2009. 第三段 There was also a fall in the number of Green turtles of around 30% between 1984 and 2002. The population increased slightly in 2010 but it had dropped again by 2012. 第四段 It is only Olive Ridley turtles that have seen a steady increase in population over this period. Their numbers dropped slightly in 2007 and again in 2012 but the overall trend has been a positive one.
