很多學生經常問我一個問題，怎樣先可以在 DSE英文 paper 1 和 paper 2 奪得高分？其實學習語言並沒有捷徑，只能一點一滴地累積，正所謂積沙成塔，而英文詞彙 (Vocabulary) 便需要同學一點一滴地累積。同學未能在paper 1 和paper 2 奪得高分，當然有著不同原因，而其中一個原因是同學詞匯量不足，以致不明白文章內容。因此，今日想同大家分享10個 Dse英文 必學詞彙，希望可以幫助準備考dse的同學，奪得理想的分數。
DSE英文 Paper 1 and 2
十大常用vocab
1. Appropriate (適當)
這個字經常在文章中出現，解作適當，是一個形容詞。另外，同學也可在 paper 2 使用。
Example: Fresh graduates need to think twice when they choose appropriate jobs.
2. Beneficiary (受益人)
好多同學認識 Beneficial (有益的)，但是 Beneficiary 又識唔識呢？這個字解作受益人，是一個名詞。
Example: The farm laborer was the primary beneficiary, while the landowner was the primary loser.
3. Cease (停止)
同樣地， 好多同學都認識 Stop (停止)，但是大家又識唔識Stop的同義詞 Cease？這個字也是解作停止，是一個動詞。
Example: The vending machine ceased functioning and needed repairing as soon as possible.
4. Commence (開始)
同樣地， 好多同學都認識 Start (開始)，但是大家又識唔識 Start 的同義詞 Commence？這個字也是解作開始，是一個動詞。
Example: Regrettably, he commenced speaking before all of the visitors had finished their meals.
5. Contemplate (仔細考慮)
相信大家都會認識 Consider，但是 Contemplate 又識唔識呢？這個字解作仔細考慮，是一個動詞。
Example: They were contemplating relocating to Chicago for a long time.
6. Crucial (重要的)
好多同學都識 Important，但是 Crucial 又識唔識呢？這個字同樣解作重要的，是一個形容詞。
Example: It is crucial for the government to implement waste charging as soon as possible.
7. Decade (十年)
大家都識寫 Ten years，但是大家又識唔識 Ten years 的同義詞 Decade？這個字解作十年，是一個名詞。
Example: The people of Hong Kong are proud of their economic achievements over the last three decades.
8. Detrimental (有害的)
除了 Harmful 解作有害，大家又識唔識佢嘅同義詞Detrimental呢？ Detrmental也是一個解作有害的形容詞。
Example: Lee Kuan-yew was a firm believer that democratization was detrimental to China.
9. Diminish (減少)
除了 Decrease 解作減少，Diminish 也是一個解作減少的動詞。
Example: What he did has severely diminished his reputation in the eyes of many.
10. Eliminate (消除)
好多同學會寫 Solve the problem，其實都可以寫 Eliminate the problem。Eliminate也是有解決的意思。
Example: Alex worked hard to eliminate the flaws in his English writing, such as grammatical inaccuracy, spelling errors, and a lack of elaboration.
